CHEEZY KALE CHIPS

Makes 2 large trays worth.  Gluten Free, Sugar Free, Vegan

INGREDIENTS

  • Bunch of curly leaf kale, washed
  • 1/4 cup Nutritional yeast
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/3 tsp sea salt

METHOD

  • Preheat oven to 110 C
  • Cut out the stalk in each leaf of the washed kale, then break or chop the leaves into the size you want your chips (keeping in mind they shrink in the oven).
  • Put all the kale into a bowl and set aside.
  • In a seperate small bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, nutritional yeast and salt.
  • Pour this mixture over the bowl of kale and use a large spoon or your hands to stir through, making sure each leaf gets coated.
  • Line two large baking trays with baking paper and place kale chips evenly spread over each. Make sure you spread them out as much as possible to give the chips the best chance of crisping up.
  • Place in oven for about 20-30 minutes, depending on your oven.
  • Keep an eye on them and once they start to feel crispy, they can be taken out. Careful not to overcook or burn!
  • Voila! You have some tasty kale chips ready to be munched on. Even those who claim to hate Kale will most likely be surprised at how tasty these are.

We hope you love these as much as we did.
