Ultimate vegan smoothie recipe

This smoothie is the perfect recipe for when you aren't too hungry, or you want something quick and easy on the go!

The great thing about smoothies is that you can pack heaps of ingredients in them and keep your energy levels up for the day. They are ideal for a breakfast option as they are just so quick and easy to make! You can make your own alterations to this recipe to suit your taste.

For the chocolate flavour in this recipe, we used raw cacao powder, and cacao nibs.

Cacao is a great source of antioxidants, and also contains potassium, iron, protein and magnesium.

This recipe also has almond butter to boost those magnesium levels!

Chocolate Smoothie

Gluten Free, Refined Sugar Free, Vegan


  • 1-2 frozen banans
  • 1 tbsp vanilla pea protein powder
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp nut butter of choice (we used almond)
  • 1 tsp cacao nibs
  • 2-3 medjool dates
  • 250ml plant based milk


  • Add all ingredients into a blender
  • Blend until smooth
  • Drink immediately!
