Rosewater and Cherry Lassi

Easy, refreshing and delicious Indian drink made with yogurt, cherries and cardamom. A great drink for a sunny afternoon!

A delicious treat that could actually give you a better nights sleep! It’s not well known that cherries happen to be one of the richest sources of melatonin. This Cardamom, Rosewater, and Sweet Cherry Lassi recipe, a traditional Indian yogurt-like dessert, has ten cherries blended down into a thick sweet treat.

You will just need some kind of blender combine all the ingredients. But this recipe takes less than 5 minutes to make and is the perfect snack before bed to help you drift off into a deep restorative sleep for the night. You can use fresh pitted cherries if they are in season, otherwise tinned or frozen cherries will aslo do the trick!

When you’re asleep your body is working to support healthy brain function and maintain your physical health. Therefore, it makes sense that sleep deficiency or deprivation can cause catastrophic physical and mental issues.

In fact, it’s been found that sleep deficiency can raise your risk for some chronic health problems, as well as affect how well you think, react, work, learn, and get along with others.

Luckily, there are a variety of foods - like cherries - that have the ability to aid your journey towards a healthy sleep cycle!
